Zotac ZBOX Nano AD10 Harnesses AMD APU to Power Pint-sized HTPC

Zotac is traditionally known for providing small form factor motherboards that system builders and enthusiasts can use to construct svelte home theater PCs (HTPCs) that still pack a wallop. The little company that could has taken AMD's new Fusion APUs to jump into the full system ring with the tiny new ZBOX Nano.

Each ZBOX Nano AD10 comes replete with an AMD E-350 APU, including their ATI-derived Radeon HD 6310 GPU. Like most Zotac motherboards, the AD10 also packs in most wireless standards you could care about: Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n wireless networking. For something faster, there are two USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet in the rear.
The ZBOX Nano has HTPC chops in addition to its small size; it comes with 7.1-channel digital audio out and HDMI (with audio) out. There are still analog stereo ports for users hooking it up old school.
The barebones machine stops there - still, that dual-core APU running at 1.6GHz will be enough to handle most HTPC tasks with aplomb. If you don't feel like getting your hands dirty, however, take a look at the ZBOX Nano AD10 Plus; Zotac tosses in a 2GB stick of DDR3 SDRAM and a 320GB hard drive - that only bumps the price up to $276. If you've got a copy of Windows lying around, this could be one of the cheapest desktops around.
